Robert “Bob” White

Robert Archie “Bob” White, 81, of Houston, Texas passed away December 31, 2021, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Bob was born March 11, 1940, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to parents, Russell Lanier White and Miriam Fuller White.

After graduating high school in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, he graduated from the University of New Orleans and later went on to pursue a career in insurance adjusting. Bob worked for GAB, Houston General, Kemper, and Paul R. White & Company throughout his career. Bob enjoyed many hobbies during his lifetime including flying, dancing, world travel, researching genealogy, and he was an avid reader.

Survivors include his daughterm Liz Desmond and husband, Sammy, of Groves, Texas; sons, David White and wife, Laura, of Diamondhead, Mississippi and Chris White and wife, Sina, of Missouri City, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Desmond and wife, Rachael, of Austin, Texas; Aaron Desmond and wife, Morgan, of Port Neches, Texas; Maegan White, of Diamondhead, Mississippi; and Ashley White, of Missouri City, Texas; great-grandson; Aisen Desmond, of Port Neches, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews; and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Nancy White Polk and Lanier White King.

Cremation arrangements for Mr. White will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Graveside services will be held in Minden, Louisiana, at a later date.
