So sorry for family and friends for the loss,I met Bob at the postal service in 97.Bob was a great employee and could or would try to fix any problem we would have at the shop without question. We never had another maintenance man as friendly and dedicate to his work after Bob retired,RIP Sir.
Lodis and I send our deepest prayers and thoughts on such a sad day. Calvin and Melva were always ready to go and do with ya’ll anywhere. He will be greatly missed.
Phyllis, I can’t express my love for Bobby. We met at the US Army draft board in 1956. I had $3.00. He realized that and always had my back the first couple months before the big $71 pay started. Norma met him at our wedding where he was not only my Best Man but one of the two attendees. He laughed and teased me the whole time but it has lasted 68 years so he did a good job. I never saw Bobby without a smile. I never knew a more serious Christian. Just so many accolades I could say. You were the perfect wife for him. I realized that from our first meeting. A better friend, I never had. Thanks for letting me know. Rodney Rice
Dear Phyllis and family,
Mickey and I send our deepest condolences to you. I really enjoyed Bob and you, too Phyllis during Sunday school. I was so sad when I heard this news, but I know Bob has already heard, “Well done, good and faithful servant” from our LORD Jesus.
Phyllis, sorry for your loss. Bobby was a fine. I remember him as a HJ BOARD MEMBER. I also knew of his repairing appliances. We will keep your family in our THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS
RIP BOBBY😇🌹🙏🙏🙏
Bobby was a wonderful volunteer at the Cornwell Museum of Sour Lake History. I really enjoyed working with him.
My deepest sympathy to Phyllis & the family.

Phyllis and family: I am so sorry for Bobby’s death. He lived a good life. I first remember him as the son of Hayden and Willie Mae, two of my favorite people. He was a hero to me, being a fellow trash picker-upper. I once was on Ryan road and saw lots of cans and trash along the ditches and got really upset about it until I realized Bobby was in the ditch throwing it out so he could pick it all up. Everyone remembers seeing Bobby on the roads of Sour Lake on his daily walks. I wish he would’ve kept up with his mileage, it must’ve been in the thousands. 10,000 steps daily as people do now was nothing for him. I saw him last year when I returned a Masonic pin to him that belonged to his dad. Hayden had given it to my daughter Heather. I’m not sure he knew who I was, but that was okay. RIP Bobby.
