Robert “Huff” Hoffpauir
Robert “Huff” Hoffpauir, 66, of Winnie, died Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Houston Methodist Hospital. He was born July 10, 1955, in Winshire, to Ida Mae Smith Hoffpauir and David Holder Hoffpauir. He was the DJ for Huff DJ Services for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Lynn Hoffpauir; daughter, Katrina Wright and her husband, Josh; son, Billy Hoffpauir and his wife, Jaime; daughters Chris Paiz and her husband, Joshua; and Britney Peters Underwood; son, Tatum Peters; grandchildren, Bailey Crorey, Allie Wright, Silas Hoffpauir, Tristan Hoffpauir, Mykayla Pinson, Braeleigh Pinson, Kaydence Pinson, Baby Cooper Dean Bertrand on the way; stepsisters, Angie Dudley, Sherrie Phelps, Lisa Bertrand, and Melanie Credeur; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Georgia Mae Hoffpauir and Kim Sizemore; and brothers, J.D. Hoffpauir and Mikey Hoffpauir.
A gathering for Robert will be 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at The Pavilions at The Safari Run Park, Lilton Sonnier Avenue, Winnie.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Hoffpauir to the East Chambers Booster Club, P.O. Box 1205, Winnie, Texas 77665.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around Huff’s passing. I last saw Huff at Waffle House in July. It had been a couple of months since we had seen each other. We chatted for about 10 minutes. Prayers to the family. Godspeed.

I am so very sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. I prayed for God’s healing for Robert and will continue to pray for you and the family. We go way back to all the CYO dances at St. Louis back in the 70’s. He and JD were always creating some much fun and they could really dance! Huff and I had a great connection. We shared a love of DJing and having that connection with the people we play for. He was sure a good hearted person and would give anyone in need the shirt off his back. Vicki, you and Huff were such a good couple, great parents and grandparents. Huff was really in his element when he was with those grandkids and I now they will miss him. Please let me know if you need anything – help, a shoulder, a visit. Love you! RIP and fly high Huff!

So sad to have lost such an awesome DJ, classmate from ECC, neighbor growing up, co-worker from Keating’s, & friend. He has touched so many lives in numerous towns & events. He loved playing music & he was # 1 ! He loved his family, wife & grandkids .❤ He was the last sibling in his family. He will be so missed by people, friends & family’s from all around. I can imagine heaven is jammin with a million requested songs. He shared his love of music with everyone. Gail Miller & i have played The Gap Band you gave her a million times. I’m so sorry for your loss. Huff was a great guy and a really nice person. I created several logos for his DJ service for his laptops. He knew exactly what he wanted.

Dear Huff, I am really gonna miss you. You were always nice to me. I got to help you drive a few cars back from Houston for the dealership with you and a couple other guys. That was fun listening to all the BS. I got a new phone and just didn’t get it to you so you could download the music for me. I will miss you but now you have a new body with wings. I knew Robert as a teenager when I worked at the Swinging Chick. He and I shot many games of pool together and played Foosball. Our paths crossed many times as adults too. I always thought a lot of him, as he was a true friend. He will be missed by so many but I smile when I picture him with his brothers that he loved and missed so much. Fly high Huff! Til we all meet in heaven again…..
