Robert Lee Luther
Robert Lee Luther, 70, of Orange, died Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was born on August 19, 1952, in Nederland, to Freddie Jean Hadley and James Arvil Luther.
Robert enjoyed camping, the beach, college football, telling stories, and in his early years, cooking. He loved to watch the grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Luther, of Mauriceville; daughters, Julie Boneau and her husband, Joseph, of Houston; Lori Pomonis and her husband, Jason, of Nederland; Erin Swiney and her husband, Branden, of Orange; and Jamie Pollock and her husband, Jeff, of Newton; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, David Luther, of Jasper; and fur baby, Sadie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and granddaughter, Taylor Luther-Swiney.
Memorial contributions for Mr. Luther may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, Georgia 30394.
A graveside service for Mr. Luther will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block Street, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 N. 12th Street, Nederland.

I grew up with Robert, in fact I can’t recall a time I didn’t know him.

I remember Robert as a loyal friend. We graduated from high school together. We each stood in the others wedding. We were hired with the Gulf Oil Company, in Port Arthur, 6-7 days apart. We camped and fished and hunted together, all over SETX. I am so sorry to hear that Robert is gone. Blessings to all of this family.
