Robert Mason Putbres, Jr.

Robert Mason Putbres, Jr., 75, of Nederland, died Friday, March 11, 2022, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born July 9, 1946, in Port Arthur, to Armide Theresa Shneider and Robert Mason Putbres, Sr. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Putbres; children, Leigh Rhodes and husband, Shawn, of College Station; Heather Lange and husband, Jason, of Nederland; Kim Walker and husband, Ronnie, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Tammy Meziere and husband, James, of Nederland; grandchildren, Hunter, Cade, Justin, Randy, Lana, Aaron, Andrew, Nathan, Kaden, Marshall, Cade, Colby, and Zack; great-grandchildren, Cadence, Lyric, Jalan, and Rylan; and sister, Karen Hutson, of Austin.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Onie Otey.

A celebratory gathering of Mr. Putbres’ family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022, with military honors to conclude the gathering.

His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

    I only met Bob a few times but those times I found him to be a very nice gentleman and family man. My association has been with his family. My bonus daughter happens to have been his bonus daughter. My heartfelt condolences go out to Bob’s family and pray for peace in his passing.
