Roberta “Robin” Allyson Swan
Roberta Allyson Swan, 62, known affectionately as Robin, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, due to a short battle of lung cancer. She most recently moved to Fred, Texas to be closer to family after learning of her diagnosis. Robin was born in Park Ridge, Illinois on November 14, 1962, to Roberta and Herbert Swan, where Robin was the only daughter.
Robin earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, she was focused on finding missing children. Her promising career was tragically cut short due to a horse injury.
Above all, Robin’s proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Jamie Elizabeth Richardson and her husband, Arlo, of Florida; and Allyson Cox of Fred; stepdaughter, Angel Parham and husband, Bobby; stepson, Billy Freeman and wife, Becky; her beloved grandchildren, MaKayla Buller; Brylie Buller; Hayden Buller; Audrey Rice; Remi Richardson; Tyler Brinkley; Matthew Bird; Lane Bird; Ashleigh Williams and her husband, Kyle; Chelsea Straut and her husband, Ricky; Blake Freeman and his wife, Lindsey; and Hunter Freeman; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents, Roberta and Herbert Swan; her beloved husband, William Freeman; aunts, and uncles.
Robin will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her warm spirit that touched the lives of many.
A gathering of Robin’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2025, at Broussard’s. Robin’s cremation will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
