Romana Estrada Olivas
Romana Estrada Olivas, 59, of Hamshire, died Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Christus Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born August 9, 1962, in Riva Palacios Chihuahua, Mexico to Maria Olivas and Samuel Estrada.
Romana enjoyed traveling especially visiting the beach. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. Romana loved game nights with her family and friends. Her favorite color was blue, and she had the biggest sandal collection because she could never pass up a pair that caught her eye.
Survivors include her husband, Lorenzo Bravo, of Hamshire; children, Maribel Arroyos, of Nederland; Brenda Arroyos, of Hamshire; Alva J. Ontiveros and husband, Mario C., of Port Arthur; and Edgar Arroyos and wife, Kristen, of Nederland; grandchildren, Jaribel; Dayami; Joanne; Jorge; Lidia; Mario; C-Jay; Niya; Dylan; Ellie; and Abel; siblings, Isidro Estrada and wife, Fidela; Susana Corona and husband, Francisco; Norma Jaquez and husband, Manuel, all of Colorado; Manuel Estrada and wife, Martha; and Maria Estrada, all of Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Lidia, Maria-Esther Estrada.
A gathering of Mrs. Estrada Olivas’ family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
