Ronald “Ronnie” Vidrine

October 23, 1938 - April 15, 2022

Ronald “Ronnie” Vidrine, 83, of Lumberton, died Friday, April 15, 2022. He was born October 23, 1938, in Pine Prairie, Louisiana, to Marjorie Ardoin Vidrine and Emile Vidrine. Ronnie was a laboratory technician at Eastex Papermill in Evadale for thirty-six years.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Ruth Vidrine; daughter, Denise Schaeffer and her husband, Bret, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Annie Simmons and her husband, Kendal; Wesley Schaeffer and his wife, Lauren, all of Beaumont; great-grandchild, Paige Simmons; brother-in-law, Robert Hebert of Lafayette, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Mr. Vidrine’s visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church, 6220 Westgate Drive, Beaumont, with Reverend Dr. Raymond McHenry officiating. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

The family would like to thank Westgate Memorial Baptist Church for the love and support they have shown to us during Ronnie’s extended illness. We would especially like to thank our Sunday School class for always being there for us.

We also would like to thank Professional Health and Hospice Care for their exceptional care for us over the last ten years. They will forever hold a special place inside of our hearts.

We are beyond blessed with the outpouring of love from our extended family and friends.

I have so much comfort knowing he isn’t in pain anymore and is dancing on streets of gold. It was so good to hear from you. I hope you are doing well.
