I first met Rosa in the 1950’s. She sang with the Shreveport UPC choir. My favorite memory was her quoting long recitations. One was the Bible verses about Jesus healing blind Bartimaeus when we sang “When Jesus Comes”. Another was The Old Violin. She was the same dedicated child of God the last time I saw her as she was back then.
God bless Eugene, Wanda, and all the family. She will be greatly missed.
Wanda, Mr. Walton and Family,
My condolences. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. She gained her reward, and heaven just keeps getting sweeter. Prayers for comfort and peace in the coming days and weeks.
This wonderful lady will be greatly missed by many! I had the pleasure of working with her for many years at The Anchor and she was a great neighbor ! I can honestly say “ she was one of the best people I have ever known”. Always kind, patient and a beautiful example of a Christian woman!
A job well done, Rosa! Rest in peace!
One of the definitions of consistent is unchanging in nature, standard, or effect over time. Eugene and Rosa Walton could have their picture under this definition . The Waltons have been family friends and fellow church members for over fifty years to the Rountree family. We have shared many great times at my parent’s home (Harold & Blanche) with the Waltons. Sis. Walton was our principal at NLCA and had a great influence in our lives A wise person once said “ Preach every day and when necessary use words”.Rosa Walton has finished her sermon in this temporal life.We look forward to hearing her again in the eternal life where the streets are paved with gold.and The Lamb is the light. God bless you all Bro. Walton, Wanda, and family. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.

You are in my thoughts. I am so sorry for your loss.
Wanda and Bro. Walton-
I am so sorry for your loss. My brother, Les and I spent much time conversing about the impact Sis. Walton made on our lives. She was an incredible soldier for the Lord! She taught us responsibility, how to hide the Word of God in our hearts, and taught us ethics. As our Supervisor in school- she told us many stories of how she would have to walk many places. She always expected excellence out of her students. My second job was working under her in our private school. Les and I both agreed that Sis Walton was always an excellent example to follow. We are so thankful for all she did for us as individuals. She will be greatly missed. Les and I don’t say good bye. We just simply say, “we will see you on the other side very soon!” Praying for you and we know God will see you through!
Praying for you!

Wanda and Bro. Walton,
So sorry for your loss. Enjoyed going to church with Sis. Walton for many years. She was a great and caring lady.
Bro Walton, Wanda and family – it really hurts to lose a friend like Sis Rosa Walton! What a precious lady she was! True “Old Time Apostolic Christian”, lady of preciseness, educated yet warm and friendly to all! She is already greatly missed by many that loved her dearly as I did! She’s receiving her REAL REWARDS OF ACHIEVEMENT from HER LORD AND SAVIOR, Jesus Christ, as her journey is now complete and she moves into her brand new home with a brand new body made WHOLE! Remembering family and friends in prayer! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
