Rose Gracia Padilla

November 10, 1941 - January 3, 2022

Rose Gracia Padilla, 80, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, January 3, 2022. She was born on November 10, 1941, in Beaumont to Benita Alvarez and Adolfo Gracia, Sr.

Although she will be dearly missed, we know that she is happy to be with her love again, our Dad. This is a sure fact and our great comfort. Blessed and grateful to have such a strong, intelligent and caring woman as our Mother and Granny. We are thankful for all she has done, and especially that she always prayed for us. She exampled faithful and steadfast prayer. She loved casino trips with Dad, driving to the Valley to visit the San Juan Shrine, going out to eat, thrift shopping, watching the Hallmark channel, and most of all cuddling with her beloved fur baby cat, “Zorro.”

She was a graduate of St. Anthony High School, Class of 1960. There are not enough words to express gratitude to a person who, instead of being a careered nurse, chose to devote her entire life to taking care of her husband, seven kids, parents, numerous grandkids, and anyone that she was able to help. May you enjoy your crowns in heaven above. You deserve it. We love you.

Survivors include children, Rose A. “Tonette” Padilla; Donna PadillaSauceda and her husband, Angel; Anthony “Tonon” Padilla, Jr. and his wife, Juanita; Tricia Padilla and her spouse, Moses Orihuela; John “Chris” Padilla; Janet Padilla-Sanchez and her spouse, Jose Sanchez; and Rosemary Padilla; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; brothers, Adolfo “Popo” Gracia and his wife, Vickie; Pete Gracia; Joe Gracia and his wife, Erlyn; Robert Gracia; and sister Janie Gracia-Recio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Anthony M. Padilla; parents, Benita and Adolfo Gracia, Sr.; grandson, Jason Henry Hebert; and brothers, Jesus Gracia; Johnnie Gracia; Louis Gracia; Ralph Gracia; and Frank Gracia.

A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with time of sharing and gathering of friends until 9:00 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2022, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. I join Anita as a member of the class of 1960 in pointing to Rose as a fine person. Your write up makes clear to all of us that she lived life as it is supposed to be lived.
May God continue to bless all of us.
