Roswitha "Rose" M.M. Rodriguez

Roswitha “Rose” M. M. Rodriguez, 73, of Silsbee, died Saturday, January 23, 2021. She was born on March 20, 1947, in Wachenbuchen, Germany, to Margarete Mankel and Josef Bittner.

Survivors include her husband of fifty- five years, Ysidro Rodriguez; children, Esther Tilghman and her husband, Allen, of Leesville, Louisiana; Rebekka Wright and her husband, Daniel, of Silsbee; Maja Pollock and her husband, Aaron, of Sour Lake; and Benjamin Rodriguez and his wife, Tobetha of Lumberton; grandchildren, Allen- Michael, Autumn, Spencer, Gavin, Malena, Natalya, Iliana, and Genevieve; great-granddaughter, Sadie; sisters, Birgit Hanacek and her husband, Desi, of Germany; Hildigard Friedrich of Germany; and brother, Karl-Wilhelm Bittner and his wife, Magit, of Germany.

Roswitha was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Trey Tilghman.

She enjoyed gardening and piddling around the house. Roswitha loved her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, granny, and grandma.

A gathering of Mrs. Rodriguez’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Broussard’s, Silsbee, with her interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee.
