Roy C. Daniel

July 3, 1926 - January 22, 2022

Roy C. Daniel, 95, of Silsbee, died Saturday, January 22, 2022.  He was born on July 3, 1926, in Corbin, Louisiana, to Floy Johnson Daniel and James “Jim” Daniel.  Mr. Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

Mr. Daniel retired as an operator for Neches Butane after thirty-six years of service.  He was a sixty plus member of Nederland Masonic Lodge #1368, A.F. & A.M.  He was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland and Good Shepherd Baptist in Silsbee, and he belonged to the choir and senior groups at the churches.  He enjoyed gardening and walking in Central Mall.

Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Eva Daniel; daughter, Mary Stubblefield and her husband, Rich, of Silsbee; son, Wade Daniel and his wife, Becky, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Amy Anderson and her husband, Nick; Stacey Vidrine and her husband, Chris; Carrie Mendez and her husband, Steve; and Ashley Droigk and her husband, Mark; great-grandchildren, Faith, Grace, Hope, Carly, and Ariel; and numerous other loving family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Charlene Daniel, Christine Daniel, and Joan Paul; sister, Joy Ferrant; and brother, Gordon Daniel.

A gathering of Mr. Daniel’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His interment will follow at 3:30 p.m., at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland. Please observe social distancing guidelines.
