Roy Lester Pittman

Roy Lester Pittman, 82, of Nederland, died Saturday, December 8, 2018. He was born on October 12, 1936, in Lena, Louisiana, to Effie Essie Hanley Pittman and Roy D. Pittman.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Pittman of Nederland; son, James Glenn Pittman of Nederland; granddaughter, Katelyn Marie Pittman of Stowell; brothers, Bill Pittman of Duncan, Oklahoma and Johnny L. Pittman and his wife, Julia, of Nederland; and sisters, Shirley Whitesides and her husband, Jerry, of Dayton and Lois Corrigan and her husband, Pat, of Canada.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, James Justin Pittman; and sister, Joyce Huff.

A gathering of Mr. Pittman’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by his memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
