Ruby Jo Carlisle

Ruby Jo Carlisle, 76, of La Porte, died Saturday, June 20, 2020.  She was born on December 11, 1943, in Trinity, to Mary Drake Groze and Oscar Groze.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca Ross and her husband, James, of Wiergate; and Angelia Ulmer and her husband, Allen, and Warren Dewey Carlisle, Jr., all of La Porte; grandchildren, Christian Cox, Cassi Rogers, Anthony Blue, Courtney Ulmer, Ryan Carlisle, and Grayson Carlisle; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Rogers, Aiden Holt, Italy Baker-Cox, Ali Holt, Avery Blue, and Presley Anderson; and siblings, Lois Forse and her husband, Bobby, of Silsbee; and Honey Bodmer and her husband, Reggie; and Lela Revia, all of Kountze.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren Dewey Carlisle; two sisters; and three brothers.

A gathering of Mrs. Carlisle’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
