Ruby Lormand Roche
Ruby Lormand Roche, 100, of Winnie, died Thursday, December 25, 2025. She was born on December 9, 1925, to Azemie Mire and Leon Lormand in Kaplan, Louisiana.
Survivors include children, Gloria Owens of Laporte; Theresa Boudreaux and her husband, Clyde, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Rick Owens and his wife, Samantha; Eddie Boudreaux and his wife, Stacey; Brian Leblanc and his wife, Lisa; Clinton Smith and his wife, Tracy; Jamie Owens and his wife, Seba; Jim Boudreaux and his wife, Chris; Charlie Boudreaux and his wife, Jeannie; Jack Smith and his wife, Tina; Peter Roche and his wife, Shayna; Jessica Roche; Sheri Phelps and her husband, Bubba; Angie Gandy; Lisa Bertrand; Melanie Pierce and her husband, Scott. and twenty-two great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Roche was passionate about sewing, quilting, and cooking. She was also a member of the Altar Society for St. Louis Catholic Church and participated in the church booth at the Texas Rice Festival.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband; nine siblings; daughter, Juanita Credeur; son, Floyd Roche; granddaughter, Kim Sizemore; and two grandsons, Justin Roche and Roger Owens.
A gathering of Mrs. Roche’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with her interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

I’m so sorry for the loss of such a sweet and loving mother grandmother. I had the pleasure of getting to know her when I was a pharmacy tech at Winnie Pharmacy. Would see her at the grocery store and just about everywhere in Winnie. I hoped she enjoyed her 100th birthday, what blessed event.
