Samuel Norwood Walker, 65, of Lumberton, died Friday, August 20, 2021, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born October 17, 1955, in Beaumont, to Mary Alice Watson Walker and Ollie Ware Walker.

Samuel is survived by his wife, Rayma Walker; children, Samantha Rayon and her husband, Lance, of Vidor; Charlene Hyatt of Groves; and Sara Braus and her husband, Brad, of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Jessica White and her husband, Casey, of Beaumont; Lela Hyatt and her fiancé, Matt Bertrand, of Bridge City; Katie Melancon and her husband, Ryan, of Hondo; and Haydn Morris; Halli Morris; Harli Rayon; and Hayln Rayon, all of Vidor; great-grandchildren, Waylon Morris, Alstin Bertrand, Brayden Bertrand, and Landon Melancon; brother, Tim Walker and his wife, Karen, of Vidor; and sister-in-law, Sue McClenney, of San Antonio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike Hyatt; and his brother, Terry Walker.

A gathering of Mr. Walker’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park Cemetery, Silsbee.

    Sam was a dear friend through our school years and several years following. Many nights of playing cards, dominoes, backgammon, bowling, etc. Sam loved to have fun and be with his friends. My prayers are with you Rayma, Tim and Samantha and rest of the family. So glad to have great memories and I hold them close to my heart.
