Sandra “Sandy” Humble

Sandra “Sandy” Kay Humble, 63, was born July 29, 1958, to Joyce and Harold Tunnell. She went to be with the Lord September 27, 2021.  She and her husband of forty-one years lived in Kountze in the Pine Ridge area where they raised their two children.

After giving their hearts to Jesus, Sandy and Harold served the Lord at Fletcher Emanuel in Lumberton for fifteen years. They were active in various types of ministries over the years. Sandy had a heart of compassion for those who were downtrodden. Her distain for the devil and her desire to see people free in Christ made her a ferocious prayer warrior. In January of 2009, Sandy and Harold joined Freedom Fellowship in Silsbee. Sandy was an intricate part of the intercessory prayer team there ever since. Her passion in life was Jesus, Harold, her children, and her grandchildren. She loved to spend time at the beach listening to the waves. Spending time with her church family was always a highlight, and she had a special way of making things more exciting and funnier than they otherwise would have been.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Harold Humble Sr.; children, JR Humble of Kountze; Jerry Humble and his wife, Brittany, of Kountze; and April Spurlock and her husband, Jeremiah, of Buna; grandchildren, Jacob, Haley, Audrey, Isaac, Grayson, Zach, Brittany, Cody, Dakota; great-grandchildren, RJ, Ashton, Keasen, and Kinnsley; and siblings, Bobby Tunnell, Larry Tunnell, Wanda Langham, Beverly Baker, and Jr. Tunnell. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Danny Tanner, Darlene Shackleford, Donnie Tunnell, and Dale Tunnell.

A gathering of Sandy’s family and friends will be 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, October 1, 2021, at Freedom Fellowship, 8137 West FM 418, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be held 10:00am , Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Freedom Fellowship, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with her interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, 13430 TX-421, Kountze.
