Saundra Lee Segrest

Saundra Lee Segrest, 72, of Lumberton, died Thursday, January 7, 2021.  She was born on June 23, 1948, in Boswell, Oklahoma, to Christina and James Barnett.

Saundra enjoyed cooking and was a caregiver to many.  She was a good Christian lady and enjoyed reading her Bible.  She will be remembered as a loving mom and nanna.

Survivors include her daughters, Shanda Nunez of Lubbock and Candy Williams of Lumberton; son, Kevin Whitaker and his wife, Bonnie, of Downsville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Caleb, Acey, Kody, Heather, Hayli, Taylor, Jordan, Tori, Cassidy, and Jordy; fourteen great-grandchildren; special friend, Tommy Segrest of Jasper; and sister-in-law, Freddie Barnett of Burkeville.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Buck Barnett and brothers, Leonard, Dub, and Jerry Barnett.

Mrs. Segrest’s committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
