Sean Humble
Sean Humble was born on September 21, 1981, to Avon and Diane Humble. As a child and youth, Sean was very active in sports, from basketball to cross country. From a young age, he never met a stranger.
Shortly after graduation, he began his job at Helena Laboratories as a computer draftsman, where he worked until August 2021. Sean met his wife, Angie in 2002-in a “romantic” encounter at Lumberton Waffle House. It did not take long for the two to fall in love and they were married in May 2007. In 2009 and 2012, their two daughters joined and completed their family. Addison and Libby were the center of Sean’s universe. He was always the fun parent, taking the girls on adventures and letting them tag along with whatever he was doing. Addison and Libby will always be daddy’s girls. They know how much Sean loved them because he never hesitated to tell and show them every day.
Over the years, Sean spent a lot of time playing league softball and playing in ragball tournaments. He always loved it when Angie, Addison, and Libby could come support him and they loved watching him play. He made lifelong friends on those fields.
When Addison and Libby showed interest in softball, it did not take long for Sean to become an amazing coach. Over the last nine years, he has influenced, encouraged, and loved many young, aspiring softball players and their families. His motto was always-Have fun on the field and in life.
Sean was a faithful member at First Baptist Church Loeb where he partnered with Angie in children’s ministry. Sean had a special way with kids. He made each one feel special and loved. Sean could often be found at the grill cooking for special events. He loved being a part of Baptist Men and getting all the men together-usually to eat!
Most importantly, Sean put his faith in Christ. His relationship with Jesus led to a life of service. Sean had a true servant’s heart. It brought him joy to serve and help others. Building, fixing, or cooking, he was there with a smile and his infectious laugh.
Sean was a big guy with an even bigger heart and gentle spirit. He was generous, thoughtful, and kind. He loved Angie, Addison, Libby, and his family so well. Sean loved his friends and thought of them as family. He loved Jesus and it showed wherever he was.
In his 39 years, Sean impacted the world in ways that will never be forgotten and will live on in each person who had the privilege to know Sean, our gentle giant.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angie Humble; daughters, Addison Humble and Libby Humble; mother and father, Diane and Avon Humble, of Buna; siblings, Carl Humble and his wife, Rachelle and Brian Humble, all of Buna; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Debbie and Mike Dunham; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ben and Chasity Dunham, all of Lumberton; nieces and nephews, Bailey, Kaleb, Logan, Kaleigh, Sidney, and Scout.
A gathering of Mr. Humble’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2021, at Broussard’s, Silsbee, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.

Hey this is nyc, you have been on my mind. I’m glad to have met you back in 2005 while we were playing basketball. I pray many blessings for your family still here on earth. It has been a blessing and a honor to be your friend!
Angie, you don’t know me but my dad ( Bob Hardman)and Dianne’s mom were brother and sister. so Sean and I are cousins. Loosing your spouse is a terrible tragedy which is hard to understand or explain. My wife passed away suddenly and we were devastated. Life does go on but with a heavy heart. My church was my greatest salvation. My heart goes out for you and your girls and pray you get through this.

Angie, I’m so sorry to hear of Sean’s passing. We have worked together for 15 years. He was a beacon of light in our department. We talked about everything from football to baseball and everything else. He was the glue that held our drafting department together. His impact on my life will not be forgotten. Words can’t change are erase the pain of a life cut short. We weren’t friends but he was my granddaughters coach and Angie also last year they both were a class act they volunteered their time and for that thanks to both my thoughts and prayers go to the family and friends at this unbelievable time!!
