Sharon Ann Laughlin
Sharon Ann Laughlin, 75, of Village Mills, died Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was born on August 23, 1947, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Daisy Mae Tyra and Clarence Augusta Layfield.
Sharon loved cooking, physical fitness, making ceramic pottery and plants. She worked as a personal trainer and substitute teacher. She and Bobby enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments through the Confederate Veterans Association. Sharon also loved taking care of her animals and any strays that came to their home. She was heavily involved in any church she attended, often serving in any way she could. Sharon will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Nananne.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-nine years, Robert James Lauglin; daughter, Tammy Lynn Laughlin- Cornwell of Lumberton; son, Loran Robert Laughlin, and his wife, Sandra Whitmire Laughlin, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Ashli Sambaluk, and her husband, Eric, of Grapevine; and Shelby Laughlin of Bridge City; great-grandson, Brantley Wayne Taylor; brothers, Bruce Layfield and his wife, Kathy, of Hutto; and Robert Layfield and his wife, Suzanne, of Enumclaw, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service for Mrs. Laughlin will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

It will never get easier you where my rock. I love and miss you mom.
I have no idea what made me look for Mrs Sharon’s name, but I used to do civil war re-enactments with she and Mr. Bobby before I got married. He always used to tell me to find someone you can “ride the river with”. I still remember those words today as well as all the wisdom Mrs. Sharon shared with me. The world is a little dimmer without her in it now. Love y’all so much.

We are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Lynn lost his dad just this last October and I lost mine almost 13 years ago but it feels like yesterday.
Take it one day at a time until you feel like you have your strength and don’t let anyone push you or try to tell you to hurry up.

I loved her!!! She subbed for me quite a few times in high school. She was the sweetest lady ever! She always wore her cowboy boots and dressed nice. She will be loved and missed dearly. Prayers for the family!!! ❤️????????????????????????????????
I am deeply sorry to hear about Sharon and pray for the family. We had some good times working for the Rice festival. May she rest in peace.
Sharon and Bobby, are old friends from our time together at Fletcher Emanual Church Alive in Lumberton. Bobby has been one of my prayer partners for over 25 years. Sharon is a wonderful, kind, thoughtful, faithful Christian lady and will be sorely missed. Praying for the family, Gary Osberg
We are so sad that we have lost a beautiful sister. Sharon was a strong influence to anyone that knew her. My favorite memory of Sharon was when she would be dressed in very nice clothes, beautiful red hair perfectly fixed, then climb into a jeep and drive away. The jeep just seemed out of place. We had not seen Sharon in a number of years because we live in Louisiana. But, she was always counted as family as were Bob, her children, grandchildren and siblings. She will be sadly missed by those that remain to cherish her memories.

I remember how beautiful Aunt Sharon was when I was a child. Her beautiful red hair always curled and in place, makeup on, a smile on her face. She loved her family and friends with her whole heart. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her and called family, friend.
