Sharon Burke
Sharon Burke, 82, of Sour Lake, died Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1942, to Nettie Lucille Stewart and James Dock Minton, in Beaumont.
Survivors include her husband, James C. Burke; sons, James D. Burke and his wife, Rachel, of Sour Lake and Jeffrey S. Burke and his wife, Kim, of New Caney; Trent, Trisha and Cooper Mattison of Beaumont; grandsons, Logan Burke of Bryan, Lucas Head and Caleb Head, both of Sour Lake; granddaughters, Bella Burke of Sour Lake and Tylee Ann Burke; grandson, Beckett Burke; and granddaughter, Katie Burke.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calder Baptist Church, 1005 North 11th Street, Beaumont, Texas 77702.
The family would like to extend to a special thank you to Sheila Harper and Shan McMahon for the care and compassion they showed to Mrs. Burke.
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Burke will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

We are so saddened to hear of Mrs. Burke’s passing and will keep you in our prayers. She was a true original and will definitely be missed. My favorite memory was a lively discussion we had about crab grass and the dreaded dollar weed and her sheer determination to keep it OUT of your yard!
