Sharon Lee Garvin

May 11, 1939 - February 17, 2020

Sharon Lee Garvin, 80, of Winnie, died Monday, February 17, 2020, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.

Sharon was born in Arizona to Hildegard and Rufus Dale Hall on May 11, 1939. She married J. C. Garvin and their world was made even brighter by the birth of their daughter, Sherrill. Sharon was a devoted, loving and kind mother and wife. She always made sure their home was decorated for the holidays that Sherrill loved and delighted in seeing that Sherrill always had a collection of John Deere toys, t-shirts, hats and even green nail polish. Even through the challenging times, Sharon always was a woman of gratitude, freely expressing that to those that stopped to visit Sherrill, those that took care of them, and for even the smallest acts of kindness. She had a deep faith that she lived out in her daily life and her sweet, generous, and kind nature will be greatly missed by those that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J. C. Garvin; her daughter, Sherrill; and her brother, Tommy Hall. She is survived by her brother, Gary Hall and his wife, Darlene, of Beaumont; nephew, Jay Hall of Austin; and cousins, Betty, Beverly, Bonnie and Barbara Hall of Cochese County, Arizona.

A gathering of Mrs. Garvin’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2020, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2020, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

A special thank you to the staff and friends at the Arboretum for the loving care, and friendship they gave Sharon, and to her guardian angel, J. Storme Jannise.
