Sharon Yvonne Armstrong

Sharon Yvonne Armstrong, 73, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Born on May 6, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to Grace Irene and Lloyd Lamar Breazeale, Sharon lived a life defined by faith, family, and selfless service.

Raised as an only child in Plymouth, Michigan, Sharon found her faith at age 17, accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior. This unwavering belief became her cornerstone. Shortly after, she met Eugene Armstrong, the love of her life, and they married on March 7, 1970. They began their family in Milford, Michigan, raising four children.

In 1988, the Armstrong family moved to Camp Co-Be-Ac in Prudenville, Michigan. In the early 2000s, Sharon and Eugene moved to Petoskey, Michigan. In 2014, Sharon, Eugene, and her mother moved to Pennsylvania.  In her last six months, she moved to Texas, attending Candlestick Baptist Church. Sharon enjoyed a final four days at home with her family, before God peacefully called her home.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Gene Armstrong, Jr.; children, Wendy Armstrong and her partner, Dennis, Amy Coon and her husband, George, Tammy Evans and her husband, Dave, and David Armstrong and his wife, Alicia; grandchildren, Victor, George David, Ashley, Alyssa, Sarah, Christina, Mary, Jayden, Timothy, Ruth, Ezekiel, Caleb, Joshua, Esther, Abigail, and Colin; and great-grandchildren, Colton, Scarlett, and Dustin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister who died shortly after birth.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Candlestick Baptist Church, 130 West Candlestick Drive, Beaumont. Final arrangements were handled by Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
