Sheila Ann Melder

Sheila Ann Melder, 53, of Warren, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Harbor Hospice, Jasper. She was born on August 19, 1968, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Saveria Hinson and Melvin Edwin Wornell. Sheila was the owner/operator of S.A.M.’s Accounting Service and worked as a tax preparer and bookkeeper for thirty years.

Sheila as an avid reader, enjoyed candles, arts, and crafts, and she was very artistic. Sheila will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and maw maw.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Ernie Melder; son, Sheldon Melder of Warren; granddaughter, Aurora Rae Dewees-Melder; brother, Edwin Lee Wornell, of Lumberton; special cousin, Angela Gray and her husband, Brian, of Sugartown, Louisiana; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.  Sheila is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Joshua Dale Melder.

A gathering of Sheila’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Hinson Cemetery, 8553 LA-464, Merryville, Louisiana.
