Sheila Jude Stevens
Sheila Jude Stevens, 72, died Friday, November 15, 2024. She was born on July 16, 1952, in Dublin, Ireland and was adopted by Mary Dasse and Carlo Joseph Shumaker of Beaumont.
Sheila’s deep love for her sister Anne fueled her lifelong passion for special education. Guided by her faith and devotion to her namesake, she was a steadfast supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and numerous Catholic organizations.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Stevens; sons, Thad Stevens and Josh Stevens; and numerous other family and friends.
Sheila is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Anne Shumaker.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
A gathering of Mrs. Stevens’ family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont with her interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
