There are so many joyful and funny stories that come to mind when we think of Shelly. There was a game night where we celebrated like we were in the 1950s, with Jim and Jean Fennell, Richard and Peggy Micko, Wade & Shelly… all dressed up in poodle skirts and leather jackets, laughing all night. Once, when Shelley was trying to back the car out of the driveway and she would go “back-and-forth, back-and-forth“ and then finally just backed into the ravine and called it quits. Lastly, the funniest is when Shelly had a low tire and a gentleman offered to have her follow him to the nearest repair station,…Shelly followed the truck and eventually realized she wasn’t sure if she was following the right truck… right out of town. She called Wade who says “where are you so I can come get you?” As she says “I have no idea!” No one could tell a story like Wade, and no one had good material like Shelly. She taught me how to speak “Cajun “and how to enjoy life. Her joy and love and laughter and beauty will always be remembered in our family!

What a sorrow and tearful eyes to read and know two of the special people are gone. Your dad was serving Anayat House as a board member and your mother was so kind and loving to let him support Anayat House on those days that I needed so much help and support. I will miss both of them and for their memories there will be two gold leaf at the Anayat House ‘s tree with their name. My deepest condolences
