Shelton McGraw, Sr.

November 4, 1941 - September 5, 2021

Shelton McGraw, Sr. of Evadale, died Sunday, September 5, 2021. He was born on November 4, 1941, in Fairdale, to Helen Warden and Sim McGraw. Shelton was a member of The Way Free Apostolic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary McGraw; son, Shelton McGraw, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Williams; sons, Pastor John McGraw and Rev. Tim McGraw and his wife, Darla; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Gravis and her husband, Johnny Dale; brothers, Allen McGraw and his wife, Ramonda; and Mark McGraw; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Ashley Nicole McGraw; brother, Loy McGraw; and sister, Mona Widner.

A gathering of Mr. McGraw’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021, at La Iglesia Apostolica, 777 North 4th Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021, at La Iglesia Apostolica, with his interment to follow at 3:00 p.m., at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Hemphill.
