Sherri Lea Rainwater
Sherri Lea Rainwater, 67, of Cheek, died Friday, January 9, 2026. She was born on July 16, 1958, in Encino, California while on vacation, to Doris Walker and Wade Ropp.
Sherri worked as a lunch lady for BISD for twenty years where she enjoyed interacting with multiple generations of students. She was a loving wife, mother and grandma who found great joy in the time spent with family. She enjoyed the simpler things in life like playing pool with friends, taking her dogs for golf cart rides, watching her grandkids play at the beach, swimming during the hot summer days, as well as fishing and boat rides.
Though she will be deeply missed, her lifetime of memories will continue through photos and stories. Those moments will live in our hearts forever.
Survivors include her husband, David Rainwater; son, Taylor Rainwater and his wife, Karysa, of Cheek; grandchildren, Emaleigh, Madilyn, Kennedy, Audrey, and Indie Rainwater; sister, Holly Sanders; and nieces, Hannah and Sydney Arrant.
Sherri is preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Arthur Jackson.
Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Rainwater were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
I am just so sorry to hear of Sherri’s passing. I loved her dearly and will miss her so much.

God rest your sweet soul Sherri. Mary and I had more fun with you than should have (was) allowed. You will be missed and remembered.
