Shirley Ann Stanton

Shirley Ann Stanton, 85, of Vidor, died Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was born on March 11, 1936, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Pauline Brown and William Stanton.

Shirley will be remembered for her love of her family and grandchildren, and for her cooking, especially chocolate Bundt and rum cake. She worked at Lamar University Health Center for over ten years. She enjoyed watching football.

Survivors include her sons, Beau Gajeske of Vidor, and Bill Gajeske and his wife, Buffy, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Michael, “Lauren”, Ryan, Jack, Emily, and Molly; cousins Patti and Betty; and wife-in-law and special friend, Virginia Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Nancy Stanton.

Cremation arrangements for Ms. Stanton were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
