Shirley Dell Bergeron

Shirley Dell Bergeron, 87, died Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was born August 22, 1937, in Orange, to Grace Bilbo Dudley and Samuel Dudley.

Dell always enjoyed going to estate and garage sales with her friends, and playing slot machines. She enjoyed helping others and often volunteered at her church and at local charities.  Her friends brought richness to her life.  They shared joy through garage sale finds, casino wins (and losses), and MUCH laughter. Dell loved the Lord and had a gift of hospitality and her home was a place where people were always welcomed and fed well.

Survivors include her children, Karen Cravy, and her husband, Ricky, Sharon Ross and her husband, Leslie, Daryl Lafitte, and his wife, Cheryl; grandchildren, Dean Cravy, and his wife, Heather, Jack Cravy and his wife, Erica, Zach Cravy, Hannah Massa, and her husband, Zack, Bryce Lafitte, Brody Lafitte, and his wife, Briana, Bri Ivy and her husband, Blake, Gavin Lafitte, Devin Lafitte, Sam Ross, Colt Lafitte and Katy Lafitte. Fifteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clifton Joseph Bergeron Sr.;
her parents; son, Ike Lafitte; two brothers Sonny and William; and her two sisters Jean and Betty.

Ms. Bergeron’s visitation will be at 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Cornerstone Church, 3810 TX-124, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
