Shirley Clarice Sharp

Shirley Clarice Sharp, 75, of Silsbee, died Sunday, March 14, 2021.  She was born on December 2, 1945, in Lufkin, to Kathleen Havard Gritcka and Johnny Gritcka.

Shirley grew up in Beaumont.  She was the proud owner of Sharp’s Canoes for many years. She loved meeting people and being outdoors. Shirley wasn’t one to sit still, she was always finding something to do. She could often be found at neighborhood garage sales finding a bargain for someone in the family as she seldom bought for herself and always thought of others first. She dedicated her life to her family, and nothing made her happier than being with family and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed by even more.

Survivors include her son, Richard Capo; stepson, William Sharp and his wife, Tosha, all of Silsbee; daughter, Karen Ackerman of Houston; grandchildren, Taylor Sharp, Nicholas Sharp, Jewel Sharp, Wyatt Sharp, Jessica Mae Underwood, Brian Ackerman, Mason Rhodes, and Tanner Rhodes; three great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Jared and her husband, James, of Etoile; brother-in-law, Joe Sharp; sister-in-law, Charlotte Woods and her husband, Burley, all of Silsbee; nephew, Jimmy Dale Jones and his wife, Melissa, of Diboll; and numerous family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Petty and her husband, Sam; father, Johnny Gritcha; husband, Fredrick William Sharp; son, Kenneth Clifford Underwood, Jr.; stepson, Justin Ray Rhodes; and nephew, Ronny Glen Jones.
