Sloane W. Jameson Zickefoose

August 16, 2001 - November 11, 2022

Sloane W. Jameson Zickefoose, 21, of Beaumont, died Friday, November 11, 2022. He was born on August 16, 2001, in Humble, to Karmon Shirley Dubose and Bryan Zickefoose.

Sloane W. Jameson, the boy with a beautiful name. He was a sweet handsome guy with a smile as fascinating as he was. Sloane worked hard and was hardheaded. He had a strong independent personality as a toddler that stayed with him throughout his young adult life. Sloane loved his mom and admired his dad. He loved his Mimi and Pawpaw more than life. He was a dreamer, a jokester, and a motivator. Sloane saw no skin color and felt no racism, he did not judge. If anything, he encouraged people to be their true self.

Sloane recently moved from Houston to Beaumont where he lived with his mom and Jim. He worked at Williamson Construction. When Sloane wasn’t working, he spent countless hours assembling Lego sets, his favorite past time since childhood. There was no end to the size, or complexity or cost! Sloane had a flair for designer clothes and shoes, fancy dinners of steak and lobster.

When asked or teased about his “boujee” style, he would respond “I get it honestly. Have you ever met my mom?”

Sloane was very talented at making cheesecakes, something he learned from his dad. His ultimate goal was to make a cheesecake better than his dad did. Sloane loved God, Dr. Pepper, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, music, and fast cars. His favorite place to visit was Satler, Texas. He had a passion for working on cars and was very good at it.

Sloane had a variety of tattoos that he was extremely proud of. Each one a meaning from a part of his life, an experience, a memory or person forever in his soul.

Sloane W. Jameson will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Survivors include his mother, Karmon DuBose and her husband, Jim, of Beaumont; father, Bryan Zickefoose and his wife, Kim, of Livingston; sisters, Lauren Lopez and her husband, Justin, of Hardin; Madison Caruso and her husband, Jacob, of Orangefield; Summer Gil of Katy; and Kristin Chaumont of Austin; nieces, Keegan, Emma, Grace, Ava, and Livi; nephew, Cash; grandparents, Mimi LaDell Shirley; Mary “Bebe” and Big Jim DuBose; Granny Barbara and Pawpaw Bill Brown; aunts, Suzi DuBose; Angel Smith and her husband, Thomas; and Tracy Taylor and her husband, Skeet; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by Pawpaw James Shirley; W.J. Zickefoose; and uncle, Kenneth Shirley.

This is so unbelievable. We remember so many fun things about you Sloane. Going as a chaperones for tick or treating. Seeing you eat your 1st lobster. Your mad skills as a video gamer. Being very athletic, playing every sport. Creating the huge Lego models. Jim was so jealous of those models. He wanted all of them. Lol. As you got older you were all about the cars. We loved the vehicles you picked and how you were able to work on them. You had that awesome smile that just made everyone happy. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your extended family during your short life. Sloane you will be missed by so many. God bless and peace be with you. Prayers of comfort to all your family and friends left behind. Till we see that fantastic smile again. ❤
    Love Patty & Jim
