Sonja Quinette Nash

February 19, 1961 - May 19, 2022

Sonja Quinette Nash, 61, of Silsbee, died Thursday, May 19, 2022.  She was born on February 19, 1961, in Kountze, to Carolyn Bryant Lewis and Thomas Wesley Lewis, Sr.

Sonja graduated from Lamar University on May 11, 2011, with a criminal justice degree and worked as a guard at Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Woodville.

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Nash; daughters, Kyndra Lott of Louisiana, Stephanie Shaw of Vidor, and Beverly Nash of Silsbee; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; parents, Carolyn and Thomas Lewis, Sr.; brother, Todd Allen Lewis and his wife, Caroline, of Angleton; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jeanie Moncrief and her husband, Wilbur.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Wesley Lewis, Jr.

A gathering of Sonja’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
