Steve Coe

August 19, 1958 - December 1, 2024

Steve Coe, 66, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2024, surrounded by loved ones, after a brief battle with cancer. Born on August 19, 1958, in Houston, Texas, to Rose Marie Wisnoski Coe and Buford Filmore Coe, Steve spent his life working in the family business as co-owner of Overhead Door Corporation, leaving a lasting impact on the Coe family legacy.

Steve is survived by his wife, Lisa Coe, who shared many wonderful years with him; his daughter, Amber, and her husband, Mike King, with Amber forever being his greatest joy; his devoted mother, Rose Coe; his brothers, Gary Coe and his wife, Gayla, and Rick Coe and his wife, Mary; his sisters, Barbara Coe and Kathy Moff and her husband, Don; as well as a host of dear loved ones and friends, including 18 nieces and nephews; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Coe; brothers Ronald and Wesley Coe; and nephew Jordan Coe.

Steve was a man of simple pleasures. He treasured family gatherings, a cold beer, and time spent with Amber. He loved the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, grilling, or simply enjoying good music and the company of those he loved. His humor, gentle spirit, and deep love for his family touched all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

An informal gathering to celebrate Steve’s life will take place at Mawmaw Coe’s home from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2024.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the hospice care team, particularly Leigh Tyler, whose extraordinary care made Steve’s final weeks filled with comfort and meaningful memories.

Mr. Coe’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

I was shocked about hearing the news about Steve. While growing up on Main Lane in Beaumont, Steve and the Coe family were very close neighbors. We all loved and treated the Coe’s as family and enjoyed our times together.
Steve was not only a friend but more like a brother and always got along with every one. He was always kind, friendly, and funny. May God Bless his family, relatives and friends during this time. Steve will truly be missed but, God will take good care of him.❤️
