Taylor Bandsma

September 28, 1995 - June 14, 2022

Daniel “Taylor” Bandsma, 26, of Groves, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Christus Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth. He was born September 28, 1995, in Beaumont, to Penny Malone Loncon and Paul Spencer Bandsma II.

Taylor was an energetic, loving, loyal, and strong old soul. He loved his family with every fiber in his being. He endured many battles along his life’s journey. Taylor was a faithful and loyal partner, father, and friend. He was always willing to help when called. He worked tirelessly to provide and care for MaryAnn, Avery, and soon to be here, Baby Bandsma.

Taylor enjoyed spending time with his friends. He enjoyed beating them at their weekly poker game and he loved fishing as well. Taylor’s laugh and infection smile could brighten anyone’s day. He loved making people smile and laugh so much that he was called “Cheeks” on the job.

Taylor had a love for beautiful and fast cars. He could give you more details than you ever needed to know. He loved his mawmaw’s potato salad and Casa Ole’s chili conqueso and as a boy, he could be bribed with both. He loved guns, hats, hoodies, and tennis shoes. In fact, there were shopping trips geared around finding the perfect pair.

Taylor was deeply loved by all his family. He will be cherished and missed for a lifetime.

I was blessed to get to know Taylor through my niece, Mary Ann. He was without a doubt one of the sweetest young men I have ever known. I loved watching him with Avery. He was always very cheerful and always willing to lend a hand when needed. He will be very much missed. I know that he will be watching over Mary Ann, Avery and baby Bandsma as well as his parents, siblings and extended family. You will all be in my prayers in the days to come. God bless you all.
