Taylor “T-Sherm” Sherman

June 6, 1988 - February 2, 2026

Taylor Sherman passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and unforgettable memories. Taylor lived life to the fullest and had no regrets. He was truly the life of the party and a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him, always leaving others smiling and laughing.

Taylor was born to Pete Sherman Sr. and Vicki Ryan and was a beloved brother to Phillip Sherman Jr., Blake Sherman, Trent Phelps, Kerry Carpenter and Aaron Lacik. He cherished his grandmother, Lauretta Collins, and is also survived by his aunts, Tanya, Sherry, Debra, and Yvette; uncles, Daryl, Eddie, and Tony; along with a host of cousins who loved him dearly. Taylor is preceded in death by grandfather, Jackie Collins and uncles, Greg and Buster.

Taylor graduated from West Brook High School and enjoyed playing baseball as a child. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and rarely missed an opportunity to watch a game. He pursued a career in welding and pipe fitting and took a lot of pride in his work.

Taylor shared a special bond with his best friend/brother Kerry Carpenter and wife, Katelynne, and spent most of his time with them and his nephews, Slade “Ace Boon Coon” Carpenter and Sloan “Boogie” Carpenter — playing basketball and video games, helping with homework, and making every moment fun. He was a very proud uncle and loved the boys deeply.

Taylor’s warmth, humor, and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. His memory will live on in the countless stories, laughter, and love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

A gathering of Taylor’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements will be held through Broussard’s Crematorium.
