Terry Dixon Corbell
Terry Dixon Corbell, 64, of Beaumont, entered her eternal home on Friday, November 14, 2025. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family throughout her recent and unexpected health battles.
Terry was born Sept. 5, 1961, in Beaumont to Betty Jean Thibodeaux and Milton Dixon, Sr. She built her career in accounting and worked devotedly as co-owner of Corbell Masonry, Inc. alongside her husband, Jeff, for the past fifteen years.
A follower of Christ, Terry was baptized in 2003 at First Baptist Church of Sour Lake. She had a passion for reading and research and spent countless hours discussing the deeper meanings of life with her sister and best friend, Rachel. She loved self-help literature, always seeking knowledge on how to empower herself through thoughts, emotions and behaviors.
Terry truly had a saltwater soul, enjoying years of memorable summer vacations on the coast with her family and friends. The beach is where she found solace. Hours of sitting on the shore, listening to the waves, or hunting for beach glass and shark’s teeth are what brought her the most peace and comfort.
Her second favorite place to vacation was New Orleans. Terry was intrigued by the architecture, the history, the food, and the overall spirit of the city. She told many stories of her trips there with her husband and friends. Those experiences were among her very favorites.
Better known as “Granny” or “Aunt Granny,” Terry will be most remembered for her fierce and steadfast love and support she gave to her family – especially her grandchildren and her niece. She was completely devoted to protecting the well-being of her loved ones and the children closest to her. She was unwavering in her role as caregiver and advice-giver. She was the family therapist. The one you could depend on and talk to about anything without question. It is her dedication and faithfulness to her family that leaves with us her greatest impact and will be forever her most meaningful legacy.
Terry is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Corbell, of Beaumont; father, Milton Dixon, Sr., of Sour Lake; son, Jason Fontenot, of Spurger; grandchildren Javyn Fontenot, Kaylee Steddum and her fiancé Kolin Powell, Malykhi Brock, and Layla Fontentot; siblings, Rachel Cox and her husband, Robert, of Silsbee, and Milton Dixon, Jr. and his wife, Lori, of China; niece Rhaleigh Cox; and nephew Zackery Dixon.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean LeBert.
A gathering of Mrs. Corbell’s family and friends will begin 1:00 p.m. with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at China Cemetery, China. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Fontenot, Robert Cox, Malykhi Brock, Jathen Townsend, Kolin Powell and Justin Corbell. Those attending her services are encouraged to wear tropical colors to celebrate Terry’s love of the beach.
