Terry Wade Smart

Terry Wade Smart, 63, of Kountze, died Friday, July 25, 2025. He was born on May 11, 1962, in Liberty, to Judy Earl Roth Smart and Cecil Earl Smart. Terry worked as a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his children, Terry Dwayne Smart and his wife, Danyell; Anthony Layne Smart; and Korigan Barker and her husband, Jeremiah, all of Kountze; grandchildren, Declan Smart, Arabella Smart, Abbey Smart, Lillian Mae Love Smart, and Luka James Barker; siblings, Avis Leavins and her husband, James, of Jacksonville; and Charlena McNeely and her husband, Leslie, of Kountze; niece, Michelle Edmonds and her husband, Peanut; and great-niece, Hallie Edmonds. He is preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Heather Warren.

A gathering of Terry’s family and friends will begin 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2025, at Parkway Life Church, 1865 South FM 3513, Lumberton. His interment will follow at William Hart Cemetery, 2527 Woodard Road, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
