Terrye Dean Skaines

Terrye Dean Skaines, 64, of Liberty, died Friday, January 16, 2026. She was born on January 18, 1961, in Liberty, to Patsy Dee Meadows Sims and B.W. Sims.

Survivors include her children, Bo Roberts and his wife, Brandi, of Madisonville; and Lauran Ingram and her husband, Cody, of Batson; step-daughters, Carol Jo Lee and Kerri LeLeux; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Tommye Lynn Sims of Liberty; Michael Sims of Houston; and Johnye McMurtry and his wife, Fran, of Waco; and sister-in-law, Metzie Ann Sims. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Skaines; daughter, Sandra Dee Prichard; niece, Patricia Kathrine Kennedy; and brothers, Lawrence McMurtry, Barry Sims, and Kenneth Charles Sims.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Roberts, Cody Ingram, Carol Roberts, Bradley Kennedy, Ricky Fregia, and Timmy Fregia. Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Fontenot, Zackery Roberts, Cecil Taylor, Waco Compton and Lil Bubby.

A gathering of Terrye’s family and friends will begin 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
