Theresa Odom Pennino

April 18, 1937 - February 10, 2010

Theresa Odom Pennino, 72, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 10, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Houston. She was born on April 18, 1937, to Pauline Andrus and Arthur William Gretzen, in Beaumont. Theresa worked as a teacher.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Pennino, of Beaumont; son, Brian Odom, of Sacremento, California; daughters, Laura Stone, Terri Lewis, and Sheila Odom Ingham, all of Nederland; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Polly Dunn, of Nederland; Ethel Wheeler, of Nacodoches; and Rita Tomassini, of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother, Art Gietzen, of Silsbee; sister-in-law, Trinie Gietzen, of Witchita, Kansas; and brother-in-law, Charles Morrison, of Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Alton F. Odom; son, Richard A. Odom; sister, Jean Franks and Ila Morrison; and brother, Jack Gietzen.

A Christian Vigil  for Mrs Pennino will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2010, at Broussard’s 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2010, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Ave A, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Vidor.
