Thomas Olan Vernon, Jr.

Thomas Olan Vernon, Jr. peacefully passed away on September 28, 2024. He was born on October 19, 1928, in Beaumont, and was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Tom was a retired instrument/electrical supervisor from Mobil Chemical Co. after 42 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Barbara; daughter, Merrilyn and husband, John, of Houston; son, Mark and wife, Delia, of Nederland; grandchildren, Andrew and wife, Rebecca and Heather, Brock and Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Julian, and Baker.

Tom was loved by all who knew him and will be missed dearly.

A graveside service for Mr. Vernon will be held at a later date at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
