Thomas “Tom” Stansbury

January 21, 1952 - March 2, 2022

Thomas Joseph “Tom” Stansbury, 70, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the Cascades at Port Arthur. He was born January 28, 1952, in Port Arthur, to Alma Robicheau Stansbury and Harry James Stansbury, Sr. Tom was an avid duck hunter and fisher. We know he is flying high over his favorite marsh now!

He is survived by his children, Shelly Niedenthal and husband, Steven, of Port Neches; Joseph Stansbury and wife, Jessica, of Groves; and Stacy Sanford and husband, Kenneth, of Bridge City; grandchildren, Blake; Alyssa Lynn; Alyssa Nicole; Douglas; Anthony; Christopher; Angel; Blaze; Dallas; and Monroe; great-grandchildren, Josh and Lil bun in the oven due in September; siblings, Jimmy Stansbury, Pam Dionne, and Lynn Stansbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Harry Stansbury, Sr.; son, Thomas Joseph Stansbury, Jr.; and sister, Bobbie Gail Griffin.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Kindred Hospice and Cascades of Port Arthur for giving Tom such great care during his final days.

A gathering of Mr. Stansbury’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

    So sorry to see this. Tommy and I were neighbors and had many a good time with neighborhood kids. Many good times playing ping pong on my back porch. Prayers for the family. ????????
