Deborah Tolece Brooks

Deborah Tolece Brooks, 64, of Lumberton went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2021.

Tolece was born on July 16, 1957, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to Carolyn Noland and Rev. B.T. Skelton. She married the love of her life, Wayne, in 1972. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, and above all else, a faithful Christian. She was an avid reader. When she wasn’t reading, she loved watching Church International and calling her dear Mother. But nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her baby girls, including her “favorite daughter,” her puppy, Piper.

Tolece is survived by her daughters, Hope Brooks and fiancé Jacob, and Kimberley Brooks; mother, Carolyn Noland; brother, Tony Skelton; sister, Jeannie Reeves; nephew, Brian Jackson; and niece, Stormi Reeves-Heinke.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Wayne Brooks and her daddy, Rev. B.T. Skelton.

Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Brooks were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
