Tommy Keel

July 14, 1950 - November 10, 2022

Tommy Keel, 72, of Vidor, died Thursday, November 10, 2022. He was born on July 14, 1950, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Jessie Castleman and Thomas Keel.  

Tommy worked as a machinist for Gerdau Ameristeel. He loved old hot rods, mud trucks, and grafting hybrid fruit trees. Tommy was a proud Choctaw Native American.  

Survivors include his mother, Jessie Keel; sons, William Keel, and his significant other, Jessica Hebert, of Hamshire; Michael Petrie and wife, Amy, of Vidor; Daniel Petrie and wife, Holly, of Vidor; sister, Connie Keel of Royse City; niece, Jessica Stegall and significant otherAndrew Bunn of Northfield, MN; canine companion, Molly.  

He was preceded in death by his father; aunt and uncle, Ruby and Bruce Milsap.  

Memorial contributions for Mr. Keel may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.  

 A gathering of Mr. Keel’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue. Cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
