Tommy Parsons
Tommy Parsons, 59, of Port Acres died Saturday, August 28, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on October 1, 1961, in Beaumont, Texas to Lester J and Mary Lou Parsons. Tommy worked in Industrial Sales and then followed his passion starting his Residential Repair business. Tommy graduated from Forest Park High School in 1980. He was a member of The Little Flower of Jesus Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3195, a member of the Eagles and Elk Lodge. He was also a member of Nichol Creek Hunting Club where he enjoyed his time hunting with his son, Cory. Tommy loved to fish, hunt, and spend quality time with family and friends. He also loved his baseball coaching community in Port Acres. Tommy loved working with his hands and was a master at his craft. Tommy especially loved attending church service on Sundays and adored Father Reji. Tommy loved being Grandpa to his two beautiful granddaughters Audrey Mae and Elissa Jo.
Surviving wife, Denise Parsons; son, Cory Mark Parsons and wife, Leah, with granddaughters Audrey Mae Parsons and Elissa Jo Parsons; sisters, Barbara Parsons; Linda VanDeelen and husband, Mike; niece Sarah Parsons; nephew, Sam Parsons and wife, Kelsey, with great niece Landry; nephew, Matt VanDeelen; nephew Michael VanDeelen and wife, Pam, with great niece Margot and great nephew, Walter; brother-in-law, Gene Dale Comeaux.
Preceded in death by his mother Mary Lou Parsons, Father, Lester J Parsons, Brother, Lester Parsons, Mother-in-Law Jo Ann Comeaux and Father-in-Law James W. Comeaux.
Tommy was larger than life. He was the best husband, dad, grandpa, uncle, and brother. His love of life in serving others is a testament to the man he was. Tommy will be missed by many.
A Rosary for Mr. Parsons will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of family and friends until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2021, at St. Therese The Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, 6412 Garnet Avenue, Port Arthur. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.

Loved that guy. Had really good times.
I moved to Beaumont Texas in August of 1980. Tommy was one of the first people I met, we’d play shuffleboard, shoot pool and drink long-neck beer at the Cactus Lounge for hours. He always had a smile on his face and a story to go with that smile. I haven’t seen or talked to him in many years, but I’ve always remembered him fondly. Fly high my old friend…you’ll be surely missed!
I remember Tommy from way back in high school. So friendly, never met a stranger with that non stop smile and great laugh He was a good friend of the Barrett family. I remember going to his and Denise’s wedding at St. Ann’s back in the 80’s. It’s been too long since I last saw him but I’m thinking it was probably at Chrystal Beach.
I know he is with God and all those who loved him and have been waiting for him.
The Parsons family have my deepest condolences.
Oysters. Blessed to have run into Denise and Tommy at the PBVFD Oyster Fry recently and blessed to have called Tommy a friend since way back in Little League. Always a smile, always laughter, solid man who made a difference and will be remembered for his heart.
My heart saddened when I heard of Tommy’s passing. My deepest condolences to Denise and family. I’m here for you.
I only knew Tommy a short time but in that time I got to enjoy his joyful company. He was truly a man of faith and would help anyone in need. And now you will be watching me put up the Christmas lights at church, making sure I do right.
You are greatly missed.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Tommy’s sudden transition. My deepest condolences to Denise, Cory and all of his family and friends. Tommy was an exceptional baseball coach and mentor to my two sons since t-ball with Cory. We all had many amazing times together. Memories my family will always cherish. Rest In Peace dear friend. Prayers of love, comfort and healing for my sweet friend Denise, Cory and all of the families. Truly, gone too soon.

Uncle Tommy, with all his family, are shining lights to our family. The never ending love and devotion shared with us is second only to God’s love. Tommy lived and loved life to fullest with his heart leading the way. God has gained a real man. I know Tommy is rejoicing at seeing his parents and Lester again. RIP Uncle Tommy. You are missed dearly and loved more.
Tommy my little brother started out as a little past. He banged on the door trying to get in. We were older and really didn’t have an interest in having him help us with our homework. He came over to my house and helped me out witch-very few brothers do and be so happy and proud of how things turned out on the door trying to get in we were older and really didn’t have any interest and having him help us with our homework she came over to my house which is very brothers to be so happy I’m proud of turned out. I think he knew the happiness it brought me. Many times at Christmas when everyone came to my house with their favorite dollar store gifts Lester’s rules were if you touched it then you got it or a gift for someone. He laughed and it was one of the best times I’ve had. Tommy came over for swimming party and we all sit around and relax and enjoy each other‘s company with a big smile on his face is. We had just seen him during one of the swim parties a couple of weeks ago. He looks great and we all had a nice time, a good memory to keep in my heart. I love you. Your big sis
There are no words to express the sorrow that we feel in hearing of Tommy’s passing. We love Denise and Tommy and have been neighbors and life long friends. Cory and our children grew up together.
You are right Denise in saying that he was bigger than life!, Always happy with that big smile! He was a true servant and loved helping others. Our loss is surely Heavens gain! Rest in peace Tommy!, we will all be reunited again one day!, with love and sympathy, Jim and Missy
