Tommy Van Truong

December 3, 1955 - February 2, 2022

Tommy Truong passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at his residence in Beaumont, Texas.

Tommy moved to the Southeast Texas area around 1981. He was a welder by trade but in his later years he was also a local business owner.  He was born in Soc Trang, Vietnam where he was a soldier in the Vietnam War trying to help South Vietnam gain their independence before he immigrated to the USA in 1977.  He was a great dad and husband.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mot Phan, who passed in 2005.

He leaves behind four sons, Dung Truong, Trung Truong, Chanh Truong, and Tam Truong; two daughters-in-law, To Nguyen and Andrea Thompson; and six grandchildren, Aaron Truong, Lauren Truong, Kasey Truong, Collin Truong, Zoe Truong and Lia Truong.

He will be missed.

Mr. Truong’s prayer service will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703.
