Triston Hunter Smart

Triston Hunter Smart, 26, of Kountze, died Friday, July 25, 2025. He was born on November 1, 1998, in Beaumont, to Rachel Leah Redd Bellett and Otis Smart, Sr. Hunter worked as a Process Operator at Exxon Mobil Refinery.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kali Smart, of Kountze; mother, Rachel Bellett and her husband, Paul, of Silsbee; father Otis Smart, Sr. and his wife, Julie, of Buna; siblings, Kristie Shillings and her husband, Dustin, of Buna; Coy Smart and his wife, Lainey, and their children, Logan and Tatum, of Buna; and Brody Bellett and his wife, Lauren, of Iowa, Louisiana; grandmother, Paulette Bellett, of Orange, and great-grandmother, Belle Cook, of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Otis Smart, Jr.

A gathering of Hunter’s family and friends will begin 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2025, at Parkway Life Church, 1865 South FM 3513, Lumberton. His interment will follow at Holland Cemetery, on Holland Cemetery Road, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
