Tysan Do Gilfillian
Tysan Do Gilfillian, 29, of Beaumont, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Christus Southeast Texas, St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. He was born on July 9,1991, in Beaumont to Bangon Kimsua Gilfillian and San Van Do. Ty graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He was an instrumental figure in his sister’s wedding planning business. He worked side by side with her for the last 13 years, leaving an everlasting impact on the company and those he worked with and served in Southeast Texas.
His friends and family always admired his personality, smile, and his warmth. Most notable about Ty’s character was he never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand and do so with a happy heart. He was always willing to help those in need without expecting anything in return. His smile and laughter would warm up any room. He was active in physical fitness, loved the recreational sport of bowling, and enjoyed gaming with his family and friends. He will always be loved and remembered.
He is survived by his mother, Bangon Kimsua Gilfillian; father, San Van Do and wife, Nhung Thi Tran; siblings, Suchart Gilfillian; Huan Tran Do and wife, Monica Do; Stephanie Tran Do and husband, Phillip Tran; Huy Tran Do and wife, Nga Tea Do; and Joan Do; nephew and nieces, Alisha Wolfe and husband, Chris Wolfe, Cody Gilfillian and wife, Savannah Gilfillian, Chasity Rash, Justin Gilfillian, Casey Gilfillian, Colby Gilfillian, and Luke Gilfillian, Hayden Do, Megan Do, Mila Do, Isabella Tran, Tristan Tran, Lucas Do, Logan Do; and great-nephew and nieces; Chloe Wolfe, Ellie Wolfe, Andrea Gilfillian, Brooke Gilfillian, and Bailey Gilfillian.
A gathering of Ty’s family and friends will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 15, 2020, and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, October 16, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, Texas.
