She was born March 16, 1948, to Catherine Walters Eddings and Charlie Eddings. Valerie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her life centered around her Lord and her family. On June 12, 2021, she celebrated fifty-three years of marriage to the love of her life, Kenneth. Their love story and marriage were an inspiration to everyone around them. She leaves behind a legacy of love of Christ and family that will live on through her children and grandchildren. Valerie never wanted to be the center of attention so her family will meet privately to celebrate her life. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Psalm 91:1-2

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

I am deeply moved to b a good friend to Valerie. We laughed, cried, and prayed together. Our deep faith in Jesus was the reason for such a friendship. Her kids felt like my own.. a memory that I will never forget is her love for making tea cakes together. She loved tea cakes with coffee. She was deeply loved by her family and friends. I will as I again my dear friend. We will meet again in the kingdom of God. No more tears r sorrow.

Time and distance limited my experiences with Valerie. But it didn’t take much to know what a loving person she was. I can see it in her children’s lives as well. I’m so grateful for the short time we had and know how much she is loved. Love you Kenneth and family. Nan Rulon Doucet, Wellington Fl.

I am very saddened by the passing of Janette. I met the Rulons through my brother, Mike Harper, many years ago when he worked with Kenneth. I visited with Janette a lot when I worked at Silsbee State Bank. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. I’m praying for Kenneth and his family. You will miss her until you meet again. Love you all.
