Vicki Lynn Hoffpauir

October 16, 1962 - December 18, 2025

Vicki Lynn Hoffpauir, age 63, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, surrounded by the love of her family. Her passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who knew her, but her life leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will never be forgotten.

Vicki was born to Daniel and Christine Boone on October 16, 1962, in El Campo. She moved to Winnie, Texas, while in the 7th grade and was heavily involved with honor society, basketball, and U.I.L., which made her become a well-known classmate for the class of ‘81. She was the heart of her family and friends. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, whether through her comforting words, her laughter, or the simple joy of being together. She was known for her generosity, her patience, her work ethic, and her unwavering support for the people she loved. No matter the situation, she always put others first.

She found happiness in life’s simple moments—spending time with family, working, watching sports, and spoiling her great grand baby, Cooper. Her latest happiness was going to North Dakota to visit loved ones, and it quickly became one of her favorite places to be. Some of the family’s most treasured memories are centered around her home, where love was always abundant and everyone felt safe and cared for.

She was a devoted mother/grandmother/great-grandmother, and nothing brought her more pride than her family. She is survived by her siblings, Pamela Anding, Roger Wayne Dugas, and Lynn Dugas; children, Chris Lauve and Britney Underwood; her grandchildren, Mykayla Pinson, Braeleigh Pinson, Kaydence Pinson, and Tatum Peters; her great grandchild, Cooper Bertrand and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Christine Boone and husband, Robert Hoffpauir.

A Celebration of Life for Vicki will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful life she lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to East Chambers Country Bank under the account of Tatum Peters, or that her memory be honored through an act of kindness, just as she would have done.

I only knew Vickie these past few years but that was enough to see the kind of women she was strong ,kind, and grounded in grace . She carried wisdom shaped by life’s experiences and treated others with quiet respect and care . Though our time was brief , she left a lasting impression. I am grateful for the years I had the privilege of knowing her and I join you in honoring a life that truly mattered May she rest in peace and may her memory continue to live on in all who loved her.

I worked with Vicki as a customer for over 15 years and then had the privilege of working at the Winnie deepwell with her the last five years. She was so good — at work, as a mom, as a grandma… as a friend. So sorry for your loss. She will leave a gaping hole in our work family. Keep us posted on Tatum’s progress. She adored that sweet young man.
